What is it for?

Why
do a stress test with an electrocardiogram?

The stress test permits an
evaluation of a person’s physical capacity and blood pressure response
to exercise.

The electrocardiogram is a time-honored and generally valid
means of investigating the possibility of significant coronary artery
narrowing or blockage.

As well, the electrocardiogram may identify
arrhythmias on exercise (palpitations).
